Community Partners Commission Association, Inc in partnership with Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes have launched the first of its kind middle school operated by NYC Department of Education ReStart Program "the Brownville Academy for Excellence"

The new Brownville Academy For Excellence at the Back On Track @ CPCA, Inc is located at 2318 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11233. The name and the acceptance process has given the student the sense of being in an ivy league school. The school site is located in a nurturing class room environment  with an inspiring academic atmosphere that encourages student inclusion in the comprehensive education and social enrichment  program. The concept and purpose of the middle school is to address the dire need for school settings that encourage and enhance attendance and the quality of education for youth 13 to 16; at risk of dropping out or discontinuing school before receiving their high school diploma.

The typical student profile are youth who have had high rates of truancy, that have effected their level of scholastic achievement; those facing social and/or economic conflicts that effect school attendance and scholastics; those lacking parental motivation and support ; court involved youth; substance abusers and those at risk of increased substance abuse; those possibly stigmatized by being placed in grades with youth less than their years due to scholastic deficiencies.

The new Brownville Academy For Excellence at the Back On Track @ CPCA, Inc is a mouth full. But the achievement of the school and the students have started out with high marks

Within the first two weeks of school, students who were habitual truants , have reached 100% attendance and full class and program participation. According to some students, they feel comfortable and accepted; “even the school work seems easier to understand,

The scholastic curriculum is under the professional guidance of NYC Department of Education District 79. The Department of Education staff includes District Principals, Assistant Principal, teachers, paraprofessionals and supplementary support staff.
