"BACK ON TRACK" Brooklyn DA Program @ CPCA, Inc.
Community Partners Commission Assoc, Inc. Is the home office and lead organization in a youth and family service program "Back on Track" an initiative created by Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes.
The CPCA Community Enrichment Center, is located in Brownsville; at 2318 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11233. District Attorney Hynes has stated, "the best way to prevent crime is to get young people Back On Track, before they slide completely off the rails."
This new program will provide the help these wayward teens need to stay off the streets, stay out of jail and get "Back On Track."
DA Hynes thanked Dedra Wade, CPCA, and all our partners for making this a successful effort. Dedra Wade , President of CPCA, Inc stated "this collaboration is in keeping with my original vision and the motto
"Creating Partnerships that Enrich Lives and Community",
" Back on Track" was specifically created to help youth 13 to 16 years of age who are chronically truant, involved with the criminal justice system, or considered at risk for dropping out of school.
The staff at Back on Track includes full-time social workers will work with the participants and their families, to make sure they get the assistance they need. Services offered will include parenting workshops, GED classes, computer and office skills training, vocational assistance, CDL and drivers’ education, adult and continuing education, ESL, and access to medical, dental, and mental health services, and substance abuse treatment.
Services for "Back on Track" will be provided on site and by referral. CPCA, Inc will be the lead partners joined by the Bank Street School of Education, The Sabaoth Group, Inc, the New York City Department of Probation; the New York City Department of Education; NYPD, the Center for Court Innovation; and the Police Athletic League, Community Health Care Network, The Professionals Training Program, Promotion Specialized Care & Health,Ferrari Driving School, Kinship Care Program, Brownville Recreation Center, and others
