Dedra Wade, President of Community Partners Commission Assoc, Inc. and Coretta Scott-King Senior Housing Development Fund Corp was proud to announce the  August 15, 2014 ground breaking of the Coretta Scott-King Senior Housing. The 51 units of low-income senior housing was funded by  $13 million dollars in funding from a HUD 202 Senior Housing grant, NYC Housing Preservation & Development, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Councilman Erik Dilan and Vecchia.  The organization was supported and assisted by Ridgewood Bushwich Senior Citizen Council. Inc.  The housing is being built on formerly city owned property that was awarded to Community Partners Commission Assoc., Inc and valued appraised at over $3 million dollars The property has gone undeveloped for more than 40 years. The Coretta Scott-King Senior Apartments will both revitalized the community and give hope to seniors who desperately need additional affordable housing.
